Terms of Service
Version 2026-10-31.1 · Last updated October 31, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Ayphos Servicos de Internet LTDA, which runs StoryDraft ("StoryDraft", "we", "us"). They cover your use of StoryDraft, a world builder and virtual tabletop for tabletop role-playing games. By creating an account, or by using StoryDraft after these terms change, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use StoryDraft.
Who we are
Ayphos Servicos de Internet LTDA, CNPJ 17.156.444/0001-13, Avenida Maria Estela, 313, São Paulo, Brazil. Our contact details are at the end of this page.
Your account
- You sign in with your email address and a one-time code we email you. There is no password.
- Keep access to your email safe: anyone who can read it can sign in as you. Never share a sign-in code.
- You must give an email address you control, and you are responsible for what happens in your account.
- You must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live (at least 13, or older where the law says so). To buy a plan you must be an adult, or have a parent or guardian buy it for you.
Plans and the free month
- Anyone can explore StoryDraft without an account, within the limits a visitor has. Signing in keeps your game on your account, with the same limits, until you start the free month or a plan.
- We sell two plans for game masters, Campaign and Saga, paid every month or every year: Saga has StoryDraft's AI and Campaign doesn't. What each one includes and what it costs is on our pricing page, which is part of these terms.
- The free month. A trial is the free month of the plan you choose: it lasts 30 days and starts with a payment card, and Saga's has a smaller allowance of the AI than the paid plan. You pay nothing when it starts, and you may switch plans during it. Unless you cancel before it ends, that plan's price is charged on day 30. We remind you by email at least 7 days before that first charge. There is one free month per account and per card, and we may refuse a trial when we see the free month being abused.
- Players never pay. A game master on the free month or a plan can invite players to their games. Players don't need a plan of their own.
Paying, renewals and taxes
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Dodo Payments. Dodo Payments is the Merchant of Record for all our orders: it runs the checkout, takes the payment, charges the sales tax or VAT the law asks for and sends your receipts and invoices. Dodo Payments' buyer terms apply to the payment.
- A plan renews by itself at the end of each period, a month or a year, and is charged to the payment method you gave Dodo Payments, until you cancel.
- Prices are in US dollars and include the sales tax, VAT or GST your country asks for, which Dodo Payments charges out of them. With a billing address in Brazil a plan has a fixed price in reais (R$ 39,90 a month for Campaign, R$ 89,90 a month for Saga), taxes included too. Elsewhere Dodo Payments may show your price in your own currency, at the day's rate.
- If a payment fails, Dodo Payments tries again over the next days and lets you know, and your plan keeps working meanwhile. If it still fails, your plan goes on hold (your account has the free limits; everything you made stays) until you update your card, which charges what is due and carries the plan on, or you cancel.
Changing and cancelling a plan
- Moving up (from Campaign to Saga) happens at once. Dodo Payments charges the difference for the rest of the current period. Moving from monthly to yearly starts your year that day, charged less what is left of your month.
- Moving down (to a smaller plan, or from yearly to monthly) happens when the period you already paid for ends.
- Cancelling is online, from your account page or Dodo Payments' customer portal, at any time. It stops the next renewal, and your plan keeps working until the end of the period you paid for. Refunds follow our Refund Policy.
- Pausing is offered on a paid plan instead of cancelling. Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you paid for, then rests for 3 months: nothing is charged and your account has the free limits (everything you made stays; what's past them opens read-only). Then it carries on by itself and Dodo Payments charges a new period at the plan's price; we email you at least 7 days before. You can resume sooner (charged that day) or cancel at any time.
Price changes
We may change our prices. A new price never applies to a period you already paid for: we tell you by email at least 30 days before it applies to your plan, and you can cancel before it does.
When a plan ends, nothing is deleted
When a free month or a plan ends, or you move to a smaller plan, we don't delete anything you made. You go back to the limits of the plan you are on (a visitor's, without one). What fits keeps working, and the games, places and maps above those limits open read-only until you are back on a plan that fits them. We don't offer an export of your worlds. If the game master's plan ends, their players may not be able to play in their games until the game master is back on a plan. You can always delete your account (see "Ending your account").
Creations and fair use
Imagine, Ideas, Light and Magic rooms make things for you from your words or pictures. They are StoryDraft's AI, which only Saga includes. Each one counts as a creation, and Saga includes a number of creations a month, with a daily cap, and a smaller number in its free month, shown on the pricing page. "Again" and "Change it" count as new creations; automatic fixes and attempts that fail don't. Creations you don't use don't carry over to the next period.
"Unlimited" on our pricing page means unlimited for a game master running their own games. To keep StoryDraft working for everyone, we may limit how fast any one account makes things or calls the service, for example to stop automated use. What you build by hand is never counted.
Your games and your table
- The games, worlds, maps, characters and everything else you create are yours. You give us only the permission we need to store, show and process them so StoryDraft works for you and for the players you invite (for example, to save a map and show it on their screens).
- As a game master you are responsible for your games and your table: who you invite, what you share with them, and the files, links and words you bring.
- Don't upload or create content that you have no right to use, or that is illegal, hateful, sexual content involving minors, or harms or harasses others.
Imagine, Ideas, Find the walls and Magic rooms
These features send what you write (or, for Find the walls, your battle map's picture) to a language model, as our plain answer about AI explains. When you use them:
- The results are yours. The maps, objects, traces and rooms made for you belong to you like everything else you make, as far as the law allows. They are built from StoryDraft's own pieces, which stay ours and which you may use inside StoryDraft.
- You are responsible for what you ask and what you keep. Don't ask for anything these terms don't allow, or for something that copies another person's protected work.
- Check before you play. Results can be wrong or odd: a wall can be missed, a room can come out strange. Look them over; you can change or undo anything.
- We may refuse or remove requests and results that break these terms.
Rights of others
If you believe something on StoryDraft infringes your rights, write to us (see Contact) with what it is and why. We review every notice, remove what infringes, and close the accounts of people who infringe again and again.
StoryDraft's own content
StoryDraft, its software, its design and its library (terrains, objects, rooms, creatures, characters' parts, systems, icons and sounds) belong to us or to the people who license them to us. You may use them inside StoryDraft for your games. They aren't licensed for resale or for use outside StoryDraft unless their own license says so (the systems built on open licenses say which).
Using the service fairly
- Don't use StoryDraft for anything unlawful, for fraud or for spam.
- Don't infringe anyone's intellectual property through StoryDraft.
- Don't try to break, overload, probe or get around the security of StoryDraft, or send malware through it.
- Don't access other people's accounts or data, scrape StoryDraft, or use automated tools to create accounts, request sign-in codes or make creations in bulk.
- Don't resell access to StoryDraft or to your plan.
The service as it is
StoryDraft keeps changing. We work to keep it available and your games safe, but we don't promise that it will always be available or free of errors, and we provide it "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost data or interrupted games. Nothing here takes away the rights the consumer law of your country gives you.
Suspending or closing an account
We may suspend or close an account for a serious breach of these terms, for repeated breaches, for payments that aren't made, or when it puts StoryDraft or other people at risk of fraud or a security problem. When we can, we tell you first and give you a chance to put it right.
Ending your account
You can stop using StoryDraft and delete your account at any time: sign in, open the account menu (your initial, at the top right), choose "Your account" and press "Delete account". A plan running is cancelled first. It deletes your account, your sign-in records and the work saved to it (see the Privacy Policy). Delete it while a plan is running and the plan is cancelled first; refunds follow the Refund Policy.
Changes
When these terms change in a meaningful way we update the version above and ask you to accept the new terms the next time you sign in. Using StoryDraft after a change means you accept the new terms.
The law
These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the law of the country you live in, and you can bring a claim where you live.
